7 Days trip from Karachi to Rawalakot (Kashmir)

(Using Train, Coaster & Taxi)​

Rawalakot also popular by its second name of "Pearl Valley" is the capital of Poonch District in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 5,374 feet at an approximate distance of 120 KM from the Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and is connected by road via Azad Pattan and Dhalkot. Rawalakot is one of the most beautiful valleys of Azad Kashmir, the winters in Rawalakot are cold and chilly, in summer the weather is a little bit warm. Rawalakot is surrounding by many villages and attractive places, and Banjosa and Tolipir are two most popular tourism destination in this area.  Bonjosa Lake at a distance of 19 KM from Rawalakot city is located in Tehsil Hajira and is at an altitude of 6,600 feet. Surrounded by lush green mountains this lake is the most beautiful lake in this area. There are some rest houses, tuck shop and restaurant in the surroundings to facilitate the visitors. The weather at Banjosa is pleasant in summer with occasional snowfall in winters. Another most popular place in Tehsil Rawalakot is Tolipir at a distance of 40 KM from Rawalakot city. It is the highest point of the Rawalakot district and offers a splendid time on widespread grassy fields. It gives a fascinating view of three different mountainous ridges along with the view of River Jehlum and Indian Occupied Kashmir from the top. In summer the weather is pleasant and snowfall in winters. In Rawalakot there are many hotels ranging from 1 star to 5 stars and numbers of restaurants for the visitor.

Day 1:

  • Pack Suitcases and go to Karachi Railway Station.

  • Get on the train and enjoy the journey.

Day 2:​

  • Get off at Rawalpindi/Islamabad Station.

  • Rent a room in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

  • Night stay in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Day 3:

  • Pack your luggage, hire a taxi and go to Pirwadhi in Rawalpindi. Ride on a Coaster or Hiace (Van) for Rawalakot.

  • Get off at Rawalakot city.

  • Hire taxi and go toward Banjosa Lake.

  • Stop at different places for Photo-shoots.

  • Visit KahiGala on the way to Banjosa (or on return).

  • Boating at Banjosa.

  • Return to Rawalakot and rent a room.

  • Roam around Rawalakot City and buy some souvenir from market. 

  • Night stay at Rawalakot.

Day 4:

  • Go toward Tolipir.

  • Stop at different places for Photo-shoots.

  • Hike to Tolipir Top for spectacular view. Also visit Mazar.

  • Return to Rawalakot.

  • Ride on Coaster or Hiace (Van) for Rawalpindi.

  • Rent a room in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

  • Night stay in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

Day 5:

  • Hire a Taxi and visit Faisal Mosque, National Assembly, Shakarpariyan, Pir Sohawa, Daman-e-Koh.

  • Night stay in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

 

Day 6:

  • Pack Suitcases and go to Rawalpindi Railway Station.

  • Ride on Train and enjoy the journey.

Day 7:

  • Get off at Karachi Station.

  • Back to Home Sweet Home.
